The Writer's Guild of America (WGA) members are now in their second week of a strike. Striking writers are staging protests nationwide, demanding higher pay and a stable pay structure from streaming companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Disney, as well as fair deals and provisions when it comes to artificial intelligence.
Writers went on strike after six weeks of negotiations failed with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers to increase their pay within the new business model of streaming.
