The Bose Acoustimass 9 sub-woofer is included with the Acoustimass 6 and Acoustimass 10 home theater systems. These home theater systems are considered 5.1 speaker systems because they include five speaker channels plus one sub-woofer that connects to a surround sound receiver.
Step 1
Connect the speakers to the Accoustimass System Module with the included speaker wires. The "R" wire connects to the right front speaker. The "C" wire connects to the center front speaker. The "L" wire connects to the left front speaker. The "RR" wire connects to the right rear speaker. The "LR" wire connects to the left rear speaker. To connect the wires to the speakers, connect the red wire to the red terminal and the black wire to the black terminal on the back of each speaker.

Step 2
Connect the multi-pin system input cable connector to your Acoustimass module and tighten it with the thumb screws. Connect the wires from the system input cable connector to your surround sound receiver. Connect the red wires to the red terminals and the black wires to the black terminals of each corresponding speaker output on your surround sound receiver.
Step 3
Connect the RCA connector to the sub-woofer channel on your 5.1 surround sound receiver.
Step 4
Place the Acoustimass module at least two feet from your TV to avoid signal interference.
Step 5
Place the center speaker above your TV at the center of the display. Screw the front right and left speakers into the wall at least three feet from your center speakers. Screw the rear left and right speakers into the wall parallel to the front right and left speakers.
