Have you ever tried to highlight text with your mouse, and it always highlights a little too much or too little of the text, but never the exact text that you're trying to highlight? This can be very frustrating. You can precisely highlight text without even using a mouse.
Step 1
Place the cursor at the very beginning of the word or phrase that you're trying to highlight, before the first letter. This can be done using your mouse.

Step 2
After confirming that the cursor is in front of the first letter of the word or phrase that you want to highlight, hold down the "Shift" key and keep it held down.
Step 3
Press the "Right-arrow" key while keeping the "Shift" key held down. Notice that each time that you press the "Right-arrow" key, a character is highlighted. If you want to highlight a large amount of text, simply hold down the "Right-arrow" key while pressing the "Shift" key.
Step 4
Repeat this motion until you have highlighted as much text as you need.
