Getting your driver's license is a big deal, especially if you're a teenager. The last factor in getting your license is taking a behind-the-wheel road test in which an employee from your state's Department of Motor Vehicles grades your driving and determines if you are a good enough driver to get a license. It's easy to schedule your road test with your state's DMV online and equally as easy to reschedule or cancel your road test appointment if something comes up preventing you from making the appointment.

Step 2
Speak with a DMV customer service representative and ask to reschedule your road test appointment. Explain your reason for canceling or rescheduling. You will most likely be asked for your driver's license number, learner's permit number, full name, date of birth and possibly even your Social Security number.
Step 3
Schedule a new road test appointment based on the dates and times given to you by the DMV representative. Thank them for their time and write down the appointment in a planner or on a calendar to ensure you don't forget about the appointment.
Reschedule Online
Step 1
Visit the website for your state's DMV office. Click on "Schedule a Road Test" if your state's DMV site lists this option on front page. If it doesn't, click on the "Online Services" or "Appointments" tab.
Step 2
Click on "Schedule a Road Test" or "Behind-the-wheel driving test appointment." If prompted, click on "Schedule, cancel, verify or reschedule a road test appointment online."
Step 3
Enter your driver's license number or your learner's permit number. Depending on the state, you may also have to enter your first and last name, Social Security number or date of birth. Click on "Continue" or "Submit" to continue.
Step 4
Click on "Cancel Existing Road Test" to cancel your scheduled road test or click on "Reschedule Road Test" to reschedule your road test. If you choose the latter option, you will then be given a form to fill out to reschedule your appointment. Select from the dates and times available to take your road test and enter your first and last name, date of birth and other information the form requires. Click "Submit" and confirm when your new road test appointment is.
