A CR2032 battery is a lithium ion cell battery manufactured for internal use by electronic products. These batteries are commonly used in small electronic devices, such as calculators, watches, cameras, camcorders, electronic games and personal digital assistants. Charging a CR2032 cell battery can consist of plugging the electrical item into a power adapter or removing the battery from the device and placing it in a battery charger. This may be easy or difficult depending on the type of product from which you are removing the battery.

Turn the item off by pressing the "Power" button.

Remove the CR2032 battery from the electronic device when the battery is dead or dying. Refer to the owner's manual for the specific product from which you are removing the battery.

Place the battery or batteries in a coin cell battery charger. Follow the directions in the battery housing unit regarding whether to place the battery negative or positive side up. Some multiple battery chargers require all battery slots to be filled to ensure equal and proper charging.

Step 4

Plug the battery charger into an electrical outlet. The batteries will automatically begin charging. Charge the battery until the batteries are completely charged. Most battery chargers have a red and green light. A red light indicates the batteries are still charging, a green light indicates the batteries are completely charged.

Step 1

Turn the item off by pressing the "Power" button.

Step 2

Plug the power adapter that came with the device into the outlet on the item.

Step 3

Plug the other end of the power adapter into an electrical outlet. Once plugged in, the power adapter will charge the CR2032 battery.
