A Dell laptop connects to a wireless Internet router in the same way that any laptop running Windows does. As long as your Dell laptop has a Wi-Fi card (and all Dell-manufactured laptops these days do), you will be able to connect to Wi-Fi Internet quickly and easily using the steps below.

Step 3

Double-click the "Wireless Network Connection" icon. Choose the wireless network you'd like to connect to, and click the "Connect" button in the bottom right corner. If a password is necessary, enter it and click "OK." You are now connected wirelessly and can open a web browser to use the Internet.
