A pivot table is a data summarization tool in spreadsheet software that allows you to quickly change the structure of the table by dragging and dropping field labels. The pivot table links to a larger table from which it gets its data. You may want to distribute the information in a pivot table to others without providing the underlying data table or the pivot table functionality. You can do this easily using only your mouse functions.
Step 1
Make sure your pivot table is updated with any changes made in the data table by clicking the "!" button (exclamation point button) on the pivot table toolbar.
