An email address is what you use to send electronic messages to your friends and work associates. However, you might want to have a second email address as well. If you don't want to use your work email for your friends, or you would like to have an email address dedicated only to a project or a website you belong to, it is easy to create a second email address. In fact, you can create as many email addresses as you would like.
Step 1
Find a free email service to use. There are many out there, but Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! are some of the more popular free email services.

Step 2
Click on "Create new account," "New user," "Sign up" or a similar link on the homepage of the email service.
Step 3
Follow the on-screen steps to set up the email account. Most free email accounts only have a couple of steps. Typically, you must enter your name and your display name (what the recipients see). Some email accounts will want a secondary account to send your password to, should you ever forget it.
