Android emulators replicate the operating condition of an Android-based phone or tablet so application developers can fine-tune their products during the development and testing phase. Since the emulator is a piece of software, it does not actually search out WiFi networks; however, it does perform the same processes that an Android device would use when connecting to a wireless network.
