Windows Script Host is a Windows 7 component that executes Microsoft Visual Basic scripts and small Java scripts. Default Windows installations associate the Windows Script Host to run with files that have ".vbs," ".jse," and ".wsf" extensions. Some system administrators disable the Windows Script Host to prevent users from accidentally running scripts that may contain harmful code. Enable the Windows Script Host if you ever need to run script that you know is safe or came from a trusted source.
