Having a locked computer on your local area network can be a frustrating experience, as you will not be able to control that computer's network sharing settings until you locate its password. This can be done by using the password control features in the operating system of the computer to reset the current password.
Step 1
Restart the password-protected computer.

Press "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Del" simultaneously twice and click "Administrator."
Step 3
Click "Start" and type "control userpasswords2" in the "Search" box. Press "Enter."

Click on the locked account(s) and press "Reset Password."
