Your Sony TV might not immediately turn on after a power outage has occurred. Its inside components may have been jolted during the extreme high electricity surge or drop in power. The effect is typically temporary; however, speeding up the recovery process depends on the TV restoration steps that you take.
Fix TV Power

Turn on the circuit breaker switch if it is turned off.

Turn off the TV if it turned on when you turned the circuit breaker switch on. Turn off all of the devices that are connected to the TV.
Step 3
Unplug the TV power cord from the wall outlet. Unplug all of the devices power cords from the wall outlet or power source.
Step 4
Wait two minutes. Reconnect the devices to the TV. Replug the TV's power cord first; replug the device's power cords last.
Reset Clock
Step 1
Turn on your TV. Press the "Home" button on the remote control to begin to reset the clock if the timing is inaccurate.
Step 2
Press the left or right arrow button and select "Settings."
Step 3
Press the up or down arrow button, and select "Clock/Timers." Press the button in the center of the navigation wheel on the remote control.
Step 4
Press the up, down, left and right arrow buttons, and highlight "Clock/Timers." Press the button in the center of the navigation wheel on the remote control to select it.
Step 5
Press the up, down, left and right arrow buttons, and set the correct time. Press the button in the of the navigation wheel and press "Return."
Step 6
Select "Yes" to save your new settings and exit.
Re-Tune Channels
Step 1
Turn on your TV. Press the "Home" button on the remote control to begin to re-tune the channels if you do receive all of the available channels in your regular lineup.
Step 2
Press the left or right arrow button, and select "Settings."
Step 3
Press the up or down arrow button, and select "Channel." Press the button in the center of the navigation wheel on the remote control.
Step 4
Press the up or down arrow button, and select "Cable." Select "On."
Step 5
Press the up or down arrow button, and select "Auto Program" from the "Channel" settings menu. Select "OK."
Step 6
Press the "Return" button after the scan has finished. Contact your cable or satellite TV service provider if you still find channels missing from your regular line up.
