Connect your device and then open iTunes to access the Summary screen.
The Summary screen for your Apple iPod, iPhone or iPad is a great place to find basic information about your device. After you connect your device to your computer you can view your device's name, its total storage space and space available, serial number and device version.
Step 1
Connect your iPod, iPhone or iPad to your computer using the USB cable that came with the device. Open iTunes if the program does not open automatically.

Click the name of your device beneath Devices on the left side of the program window.

Select the "Summary" tab on the right side of the program window. The Summary window appears.
