How to Hard Reset a Kyocera Cell Phone

A factory reset returns a cell phone to the state it was in when you first bought it new. How you go about performing a hardware reset or hard reset on your Kyocera cell phone varies slightly depending on the model you're using. All user data and apps are deleted during a hard reset. Back up any data and apps you want to save before proceeding.

To perform a hard reset on a Hydro LIFE or Hydro XTRM model, turn off the phone. Press and hold the "Volume Down" and "Power" keys simultaneously. Release the "Power" key when the phone vibrates. Release the "Volume Down" key when the Android recovery screen appears. Press the "Volume Down" key to highlight "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" and press "Power" to confirm the selection. Select "Yes - Erase all user data" and press "Power." Select "Reboot system now" and press "Power" to finish performing the hard reset.

To hard reset the Kyocera Milano, power off the device and then press and hold the "Volume Down" and "Power" buttons. Release both buttons when the Android recovery screen appears. Press the "Home" button, press "Volume Down" to highlight "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" and then press the "Return/OK" key on the keyboard. Select "Yes - delete all user data" and press "Return/OK." After the data is cleared, select "Wipe cache partition" and press "Return/OK." Select "Reboot system now" and press "Return/OK" to finish performing the hard reset.
