A stand-alone TV antenna can provide free digital television broadcasts for local stations that a satellite TV service does not provide. You can get the television signal from a TV antenna using the same cable already in place for the wall-mounted or roof-mounted satellite dish being used to send the satellite transmissions into the home. A TV antenna designed for outdoor use will be needed along with special equipment available from a satellite supply shop. Some hardware supplies also will be required.
Step 1
Stand the TV antenna next to the satellite dish. Connect one end of the included coaxial cable into the coax output on the TV antenna. Connect the other end of the coaxial cable into one of the two coax inputs on the diplexer encoding module.
