BAPE (or A Bathing Ape) is a popular Japanese clothing label mostly known for its urban street apparel. BAPE is an international brand popular among celebrities and entertainers. BAPE became so popular that you can even create your own cartoon BAPE character to display as your avatar on your favorite social-networking sites or forums, as a wallpaper for your desktop or cell phone or however you choose. The BAPE character was first seen on Pharrell Williams' "In My Mind" album cover in 2006, which showed a cartoon version of Pharrell dressed in BAPE apparel. Since then, the BAPE characters have become popular, and now you can make your own.
Step 1
Navigate to the BAPE Character Creator/Generator in your browser (see Resources). Scroll down to the middle of the page until you see the BAPE generator with a Pharrell Williams BAPE cartoon shown.

Click the "Shirts" link to select a shirt for your BAPE character. When you find the shirt you like, click on the shirt and drag it onto your BAPE character.
Step 3
Click the "Pants" link to change your BAPE character's pants. Once you've chosen the pants you like, click on them and drag them onto your BAPE character.
Step 4
Click the "Shoes" link to give your BAPE character a new pair of shoes. Once you've found the desired pair, click on them and drag them onto your BAPE character's feet.
Step 5
Click the "Accessories" link to choose an accessory for your BAPE character. You can choose a pair of shades, hat, chain or earrings. Click on the accessories you want to put on your BAPE character and they will automatically go to the proper place on your character.
Step 6
Click the "Hair" link to choose a hairstyle for your BAPE character. In the "Hairstyle" column on the left side, choose whether you want your BAPE character to be bald, have an afro, mohawk, normal- or medium-length hair. In the "Hair Color" column on the right, select your BAPE character's hair color.
Step 7
Click the "Skin" link to customize your BAPE character's facial features and skin color. In the "Facial Features" column on the left, click on the left or right arrows in the "Eyes," "Nose" and "Mouth" sections and scroll through the different facial features until you find the desired facial features for your BAPE character. In the "Skin Color" column on the right, select the skin color you want for your BAPE character.
Step 8
Save your BAPE character. The "Save This Image" link on the bottom-right corner of the generator does not work, so you will need to scroll back up to the top of the BAPE Character Creator/Generator page to view the instructions about how to save your BAPE character to your hard drive.
