Beepers -- also known as pagers -- have evolved with the advancement of technology. At one time all a beeper could do was receive pages. A beeper is still a one-way device, but it now accept texts and voice messages. Despite all the bells and whistles, paging a beeper has not changed much over the past 30 years.
Step 1
Dial the beeper's number. Beepers, like telephones, have seven-digit numbers.

Step 2
Wait for the prompt message. The prompt message is a recording programmed by the beeper's owner. It might be music, or an automated voice telling you to leave a callback telephone number.
Step 3
Dial the telephone number that you wish the beeper's owner to call . Press the "pound" key on the phone after inputting the telephone number. The page will be sent once the "pound" key is pressed.
