Haier TVs are one brand that many people have in their living rooms or kitchens or wherever else they place a television. From tiny hand-held models to monstorous HDTVs, Haier produces many models that will suit your needs. All of these models are cable-ready, meaning that you can connect them to your cable system. By following a simple setup procedure, you can program your Haier TV to recognize your cable setup to make your viewing experience better.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button after you have turned on the TV to access the main menu for your device. From here you can change many different settings on your Haier TV. Use the navigation ring in the center of the remote to move around in the menu and press the "OK" button in the middle of the ring to select an option.

Navigate to the "Channel" option which is an icon shaped like a satellite dish. Press the "OK" button to access the menu. Use the navigation ring to move to the "Tuning Band" option and press the left and right directions on the navigation ring to choose the setting that applies to your cable service.

Move to the "Auto Ch Search" option and press the "OK" button. The Haier TV will now begin to channel surf through your cable programming options and will save channels that come in and delete those that do not. Do not press any button during this process or it will interrupt the programming. When it is finished, you will return to the "Channel" menu.
Step 4
Navigate to the "Channel List" option in the "Channel" menu and press "OK." You will see a list of all of the channels that are available in your cable service including the ones that the television just saved. Use the navigation ring to move through the list and press the left or right buttons to add or delete a channel. Press "Menu" when finished to return to the main menu and save your changes.
