Foxtel IQ is a DVR satellite receiver. The convenience of DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) is that they allow you to quickly and easily make a high-quality recording of your favorite TV programs so that you can watch them at your leisure. The downside is that DVR recordings are saved to a hard disk. While this means you never have to worry about needing a tape or disc to record your program, it also means portability and preservation are issues. If you want the ability to permanently save your recording and transport it anywhere you like, transfer it to a DVD.
