When you turn the Sharp Aquos TV on for the first time, you'll be prompted to scan for available channels over the air. However, if you don't have your antenna positioned properly, or don't have an antenna connected at all, you may not pull in the number of channels you were hoping for. If you want to go back later after adjusting the position of the antenna to try and pull in more channels, you might have some trouble getting back to the screen where you perform the scan. You can perform a re-scan through the EZ Setup part of the menu.
Step 1
Connect the end of the cable associated with your over-the-air antenna into the ANT/CABLE connector in the lower left corner on the back of the Sharp Aquos TV, and make sure the connection isn't loose. Ensure there are as few objects as possible obstructing the antenna. Additionally, avoid laying the antenna on the ground, and consider hanging the antenna to help prevent obstruction.
