Plasma televisions can project a large, high-definition image. The settings for sound, brightness, contrast and many more can be edited to your liking. If the settings have been altered so much that it would be easier to start from the beginning, you can do this. Plasma TVs have a "reset" feature to return the TV to its factory settings.

Press "Menu" on the remote.

Move the cursor to "Setup" and press "Enter" on the remote.

Move to "Installation" and press "Enter." Go to "System Information" and press "Enter."
Step 4
Press "Enter" on "Factory Defaults." Insert your PIN code. If you have never set up a PIN code, then the code is "0000." Press "Enter" to continue.
Step 5
Press "Enter" on "Yes" to confirm that you want to reset the TV. The TV will then turn off.
Step 6
Remove the Toshiba TV's power cable from the wall, then plug it back in. Press the "Power" button on the remote. The TV will come back on with the factory settings.
Samsung
Step 1
Turn off the Samsung TV.
Step 2
Press "Mute," then "1," "8," "2" and "Power" on the remote. The service menu appears.
Step 3
Choose "Reset." The Samsung TV will be reset to its original, factory settings.
Sony
Step 1
Turn on the Sony plasma TV.
Step 2
Press "Menu" on the remote.
Step 3
Highlight the first menu option and press "Reset" on the remote. Continue this step with every menu option to reset every aspect of the TV.
