The Zhone router includes customizable settings for user accounts, network security and more. When you install and customize the router, your settings are stored until you modify them. If you are locked out of your router or you buy a used one, reset it to clear all of the settings, including the password. Access the router with the default account information after the reset.
Step 1
Locate the "Reset Default" button on the back panel of the router.

Press and hold the "Reset Default" with a pen or toothpick. Hold the button for 10 seconds.
Step 3
Release the "Reset Default" and wait for the router to reboot.
Step 4
Access the router by entering "192.168.1.1" into your internet browser. Enter "admin" as a user name and "admin" as a password for the default account.
