Restoring your computer to its original factory settings is a good way to fix problems you are having with an unstable computer or to get rid of viruses. It's also a good idea to restore your computer to its original factory settings if you are planning to give your computer to a friend or family member or if you want to sell it. Restoring any computer to its factory settings will delete all of your personal files and programs and will return the computer to its state the day you took it out of the box.
