In 2007, Google added a new feature to Google Maps. Street View enables you to leave a street map or satellite view and see and explore locations at ground level. Google doesn't yet have a built-in function for saving a Street View photo. You can save a copy for your own personal use, however, by cutting and pasting the picture to your PC.
Step 1
Go to maps.google.com, type in a location and press "Enter."

Step 2
Click and hold the golden "pegman" and drag it to a location you want to see in Street View. The photo appears.
Step 3
Click the "Full screen" icon in the top-right of the street-view picture. This enlarges the picture to fill your entire screen.
Step 4
Press the "Prnt Scrn" key to copy the picture, once any temporary prompts have disappeared. You can usually find "Prnt Scrn" near the top right of the keyboard.
Step 5
Click "Full screen" again to return to the ordinary browser size.
Step 6
Click the Windows "Start" button, and type "Paint" in the search box, then click "Paint" to open the program.
Step 7
Press "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time on your keyboard. This pastes the picture into the program.
Step 8
Click the "Save" icon, type in a name, select a file format, such as .bmp or .jpg, and click "Save" to save your Google Street View picture.
