In a perfect world the alarm clock would be unnecessary. We'd all wake up at exactly the time we wanted to wake up, perfectly rested, ready for the day. Unfortunately that's not the case. Luckily, Oregon Scientific has a selection of alarm clocks to help people get out of bed and get their day started. To use them, you must first set them.
Step 1
Open the panel on the back of the clock and insert three AA batteries.

Step 2
Set the time. This can be done automatically, or manually. To have the clock sync with the atomic clock, hold down the sync button for a few moments, which has an image of an upside-down triangle over two squares with a triangle in them. After 2 to 10 minutes, it should sync. If you wish to set it yourself, press and hold the "SET" button, then use the up and down arrows to change each setting. After you've set one setting to your satisfaction, press "SET" again to move on to the next one, until you are satisfied. Depending on your clock model, you might need to press "ZONE" to set the time zone first before setting the time.
Step 3
Set the alarm clock. Press and hold the alarm button, which has an image of a bell over the word "SET." Press the arrow buttons to set the hours and minutes. Press the alarm button again to set it. An image that looks like a bow tie will appear on your screen if the alarm is on.
