Viera flat-screen televisions are manufactured by multinational electronics corporation Panasonic. The Viera televisions include several "Lock" features for protecting children from watching mature content on TV. The lock feature can be used to cover entire channels or simply specific television programs. It can also be used to restrict the use of video games consoles by preventing access the the TV's inputs. Cancelling the locks on a Panasonic Viera is quite straightforward and will only take a few seconds.
Step 1
Press the "Menu" button at the top of your remote. The TV set-up menu will appear on the screen.

Use the downward arrow key to highlight "Lock." Press the "OK" button the middle of the arrow keys.
Step 3
Enter your TV's four-digit password using the number keys on your remote.
Step 4
Scroll down to highlight "Mode." Press the right arrow key until "Off" appears, then press the "OK" button.
Step 5
Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu. Your Panasonic Viera is now unlocked.
