Call Boost Mobile at 866-402-7366 and tell them that you have an AT&T cell phone that you want to convert and use with Boost Mobile. Make sure to tell them which model AT&T phone you currently own. In many cases, Boost Mobile will be able to help you activate your used phone with them.

Purchase unlocking software for your AT&T cell phone. This software is unique to your cell phone and can be downloaded directly from your computer to your cell phone using a USB cable. Make sure that you perform due diligence in choosing your software application by checking references and costs.
