Panasonic manufactures several televisions that offer a picture in picture (PIP) feature. With picture in picture, you can view two input channels simultaneously, with one main picture, which will also have audio, and another small thumbnail of the video transmitting to another input on the television. At any time you can switch the main and secondary inputs, as well as change the location of the secondary video feed. For picture in picture to work, you must have two input channels, meaning that to watch two television stations, you must have two cable boxes.

Some models of Panasonic televisions allow "picture and picture," which displays two equally sized video feeds and "picture out picture" which places a bar on the side of the main video display in which to display the secondary video display. This is useful as the secondary feed does not overlap the main feed.
