When you save a Microsoft Office document as HTML, the code contains standard HTML tags as well as many Microsoft proprietary tags. One such tag, MsoNormal, is part of the style sheet inserted into the code, to define how to display the contents of the Web page. Often this code remains even after you edit the file in another application.
