Apple's iCloud allows you to sync contacts, calendars and other data between your iPhone and iPad without the use of a Mac or Windows-based computer. Setting up iCloud requires that you have an Apple ID and access to a Wi-Fi or a 3G connection. Once you've setup iCloud on both your devices, they'll automatically share new contacts within minutes.

Step 1
Navigate to the "Settings" application on your iPhone. Tap "General" and then "About." Your iPhone must be running iOS 5 or later; if it's not, update the phone before continuing.

Press the "Settings" icon and tap "iCloud." If you are still in the "About" menu, press "General," and then press "About" to return to the main menu.

Tap "iCloud." Enter your Apple ID and password into the appropriate boxes and press "Sign In."

Switch on "Contacts" by sliding the bar to the "On" position. Select "Merge" to combine your contacts with the iCloud database. Your contacts now sync between iCloud and your iPhone.
