Converting and sharing images using a PDF can be very efficient, especially if you send images through email. Multiple image files can be merged into one PDF. Two applications that convert an image to PDF are Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Illustrator.
Merge Files

Step 1
Go to "File," "Combine" then "Merge Files into a Single PDF." The "Combine Files" window will open.

Click on "Single PDF" in the right corner of the window. Then, click on "Add Files" located in the top left corner of the window. This will open a sub-menu of options. Select "Add Files" to open a new window.
Step 3
Open the folder that has your images and click on the images you want to make into PDF. If the images are in a row, click on the first image, hold the "Shift" key and click the last image. Then click "Add Files." The images will appear in the "Combine Files" window where you can arrange the order.
Step 4
Click on an image. Go to the bottom and click "Move Up" or "Move Down" to arrange the order of your images. If there are images you decide you don't want in the PDF, click the image and click "Remove." Then click "Combine Files." The "Save As" window will open.
Step 5
Name the PDF and find a location to save it. Then click "Save."
Insert Pages
Step 1
Go to "File," then "Open" and select one image file to be converted to a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.
Step 2
Go to "Document," "Insert Pages" and "File." The "Select File to Insert" window will open.
Step 3
Click on the images to create a PDF, then click "Select." The "Insert Pages" window will open.
Step 4
Click on the down arrow, in the "Location" form, to choose to insert the images "Before" or "After" the image. The inserted images will appear in the opened PDF.
Adobe Illustrator Artboards
Step 1
Click "File," then "New Document." In the "New Document" window, go to the form "Number of Artboards" and type in the number of artboards needed for the images. For example, if you have five images, then type "5" for the number of artboards.
Step 2
Go to "File" and click "Place." Locate the images to be placed in the document. Images can only be placed one at a time. Continue this step until all images are in the document.
Step 3
Hold down "Shift," then click "O" to activate the Artboard Tool. This opens the artboard editing section. The artboards are numbered. Click on the first artboard.
Step 4
Move the mouse over the white squares. When the arrow appears, click and resize the artboard to fit the size of the image. Continue doing this for all the artboards, then hit the "Esc" key on the keyboard.
Step 5
Go to "File" and "Save As." In the "Save as type" form, select "Adobe PDF." Click "Save." The "Save Adobe PDF" window will open, the Adobe PDF Preset form should read "Illustrator Default." If it does not, click on the arrow and change the preset. Click on all the settings in the options section. Click "Save PDF." Making a PDF using artboards only can be done in Illustrator CS4 or later.
