Compressed folders, also called zipped, are a specific type of computer archive file that collects multiple files on a hard drive and condenses them down into one single file. Once compressed into the file, the files contained within take up less space on a hard drive than they would if they were all still extracted. You can find any compressed or zipped folder on your computer by digging around with Windows' search function.
