McAfee Antivirus automatically starts and protects your computer from viruses. Each time you boot your computer, McAfee's drivers load and run in the background while you work. You must disable these drivers to stop McAfee from running without uninstalling the software. This is beneficial if you want to temporarily disable McAfee, then turn it back on again in the future.
Step 1
Click the "Start" button in the Windows taskbar. Right-click the "Computer" icon and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu. This opens the main system properties configuration window.
