Files saved in Portable Document Format (PDF) have many advantages. PDFs are less easy to alter than Microsoft Word documents, and they will retain their format and appearance regardless of what program is used to open them. Your Microsoft Word file may look great in "Print Preview," but if you send it to a computer with a different kind of word processing software, it may come out scrambled. The file that appears in "Print Preview" can easily be saved as a PDF, so you don't have to worry about losing the format of your work.
